There are some trips that stay with you forever, and my journey through India with Titan Travel was absolutely one of them. From the chaos of Old Delhi to sunrise at the Taj Mahal and unforgettable tiger safaris in Ranthambore National Park, every single day brought something incredible.
A Stress-Free Start with Titan Travel
The trip began with Titan’s door-to-door chauffeur service, which is included as standard on all Titan holidays. I was picked up directly from home and driven straight to Heathrow Airport, making the start of the journey completely stress free.
One of the best things about this service is that there’s no mileage restriction, meaning there’s no need to worry about airport parking, fuel costs, or arranging transport to and from the airport. It really is such a lovely added perk and immediately made the holiday feel easy and relaxed from the very beginning.
After arriving at the airport, we checked in and made our way quickly through security with enough time to enjoy a glass of wine before boarding our evening Virgin Atlantic flight to India. The flight itself was nice and comfortable and the crew were fabulous – nothing was too much. It really set the tone for what continued to be an amazing trip!
Arriving in Delhi
When we landed in Delhi the following morning, we were met by our wonderful Titan tour manager and transferred to our hotel in a very comfortable coach.
During the drive, we passed famous landmarks including India Gate and several Indian government buildings, all pointed out to us by our knowledgeable tour manager, who shared lots of fascinating information along the way.
Once we arrived at the hotel, we received a warm welcome before heading to our rooms to freshen up. Determined to beat the jet lag and get onto local time as quickly as possible, I spent a few hours relaxing by the pool before treating myself to a massage in the hotel spa, which I can highly recommend after a long-haul flight. I may even have drifted off to sleep during the treatment!
That evening, we all met for dinner before heading to bed early, ready for our first full day exploring India.

Exploring Old Delhi
The next morning began with breakfast at the hotel before we headed out on an orientation tour of Old Delhi.
One of the highlights was an exciting rickshaw ride through the old lanes of Delhi. The streets were chaotic, busy, noisy, and completely fascinating all at once. Everywhere you looked there was something happening: market stalls, tuk-tuks, scooters, people, colours, and sounds. It was such a fun and immersive way to experience the city.
We then visited a beautiful mosque before heading to a Sikh temple, which turned out to be one of the most moving experiences of the trip.
While at the temple, we were taken into the community kitchens where volunteers prepare and serve meals to those in need. The temple provides up to 50,000 free meals every single day, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner regardless of religion or background.
We were even lucky enough to help roll chapatis that would later be served at lunchtime. Seeing the scale of the kitchens and the kindness behind the operation was absolutely incredible.
Afterwards, we enjoyed lunch at a lovely local restaurant before taking a tuk-tuk ride near India Gate.
Later that afternoon, we boarded our train from Delhi to Agra. The journey lasted around an hour and a half and included snacks and drinks served onboard, which was a lovely touch.
Once we arrived in Agra and checked into our hotel, we headed out for cocktails at a beautiful rooftop bar before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Sunrise at the Taj Mahal
The following morning brought one of the biggest highlights of the entire trip: sunrise at the Taj Mahal.
Seeing the Taj Mahal in person was absolutely breathtaking. It’s one of those places you see in photos your entire life, but nothing compares to standing there and seeing it with your own eyes as the sun rises behind it.
After our visit, we returned to the hotel for breakfast before checking out and visiting Agra Fort.
We then began the long journey to Ranthambore National Park, with a coach drive of around six hours. Thankfully there were plenty of comfort stops along the way for food and refreshments.

Tiger Safaris in Ranthambore National Park
After arriving in Ranthambore National Park, we enjoyed dinner and drinks before heading to bed early after such a busy day.
The following morning was more relaxed, with time spent by the pool and another spa treatment — treatments in India are such amazing value.
Later that day, we attended a fascinating tiger talk hosted by a naturalist who taught us all about the tigers and the important conservation work taking place within the park.
That afternoon, we headed out on our first safari game drive. Although we didn’t spot a tiger that day, we still saw so much incredible wildlife including deer, crocodiles, monkeys, and countless beautiful birds.
One thing I really loved was the strong focus on conservation within the park. Vehicles are only allowed to stay within their allocated zones and must stick strictly to designated pathways. It’s very clear that protecting the animals and their environment comes first, which was wonderful to see.
The next morning, we headed out for another early safari — and this time we were incredibly lucky.
We saw two tigers in the wild.
It was honestly one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences I’ve ever had.

Jaipur & A Truly Special Evening
After returning to the hotel for breakfast, we packed up and travelled onwards to Jaipur.
That evening, we took tuk-tuks to a local family home where we enjoyed a cooking demonstration followed by dinner.
This ended up being one of the highlights of the entire trip for many of us. The family were so warm and welcoming, gifting us beautiful bangles and making us feel completely at home. The food was incredible and it was fascinating to see a traditional Indian kitchen and learn more about local life and culture.

Discovering Jaipur
The next day was dedicated to sightseeing around Jaipur, including visits to City Palace and Jantar Mantar, along with a photo stop at the iconic Hawa Mahal.
The following morning brought another incredibly memorable experience.
We enjoyed a tuk-tuk tour around Jaipur driven entirely by women through the Pink Rickshaw initiative, a charity supporting women from low-income families by training them to own and operate tuk-tuks independently.
Titan and Virgin Atlantic had donated a pink tuk-tuk to the charity, and we were lucky enough to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
It was such a moving and inspiring experience and a brilliant example of tourism positively supporting local communities.

Final Thoughts on Visiting India with Titan Travel
After our time in Jaipur, we drove back to Delhi before flying home the following morning.
This truly was a bucket-list trip and one I will remember forever. India is vibrant, chaotic, beautiful, emotional, exciting, and unlike anywhere else I’ve ever visited.
Travelling with Titan Travel made the experience feel effortless from beginning to end. From the included chauffeur service to the knowledgeable tour managers and all the thoughtful touches throughout the trip, everything was so well organised.
