I recently had the chance to enjoy my first Sky Princess ship visit, and it was also my first time stepping onboard a Princess Cruises ship.
Saturday morning at the office looked a little different this week, and I’m certainly not complaining.
From the moment we stepped onboard Sky Princess, I could see why Princess Cruises has such a loyal following. The ship immediately felt elegant, welcoming and beautifully presented, and it gave me a great first impression of what sailing with Princess could be like.
First Impressions of Sky Princess
One of the first things that stood out was the atrium.
We were welcomed by a beautiful, classy entrance, with spectacular chandelier-style lighting creating a really impressive first impression.
It felt stylish without being too over the top, and it set the tone nicely for the rest of our visit.
We were shown around by Zoe and Dan, who gave us a fantastic tour of the ship and highlighted some of Sky Princess’ standout features. Throughout the day, the service felt attentive and welcoming, which is exactly what you would hope for from a Princess Cruises experience.
What Are the Cabins Like on Sky Princess?
During our Sky Princess ship visit, we had the chance to look inside one of the balcony cabins.
Being able to see the accommodation in person is always useful, as it gives you a much better idea of what the space feels like compared with simply looking at photographs online.
The balcony cabin gave us a good feel for the style and comfort guests can expect onboard, and it was another area of the ship that added to the overall impression of a well-finished and thoughtfully designed cruise experience.
Exploring the Theatre, Spa and Pool Areas
As we continued around the ship, we also had a look inside the theatre and visited the spa.
The theatre was a lovely space and gave us a glimpse of where guests can enjoy entertainment during their cruise.
The spa was another highlight. In fact, a few of us were very tempted to abandon the tour altogether and stay for a treatment.
It was also lovely to spend some time around the pool area, especially with the sun shining. Seeing these different spaces really helped us imagine what a day onboard Sky Princess could look like, whether you wanted to relax, enjoy some entertainment or simply spend time by the pool.
What Is the Food Like on Sky Princess?
Food was definitely a big part of our visit, and Princess Cruises made sure we were well looked after throughout the day.
We started with a welcome meeting accompanied by pastries, tea and coffee, before making a very important stop at the pizza bar later that morning.
A slice of pizza at 11am might not be part of my usual Saturday routine, but enjoying it with a gorgeous view across the sunny pool made it feel very worthwhile.
To finish the visit, we were treated to a beautiful three-course meal accompanied by a glass of wine.
It was a lovely way to end the day and gave us the chance to experience another important part of life onboard.

My First Experience of Princess Cruises
As my first Princess Cruises ship visit, Sky Princess has definitely left me wanting more.
It was great to experience the ship for myself, explore some of the main areas onboard and get a better feel for the atmosphere passengers can expect.
From the elegant atrium and balcony accommodation to the theatre, spa, pool areas and food, there was plenty that stood out during the visit.
It certainly wasn’t a bad way to spend a Saturday morning at the office.
And after my first taste of Princess Cruises, I’m already wondering which Princess itinerary I should be looking at next.
