Well, what can I say? From the moment we arrived, it was absolutely fabulous.
We got in a bit late thanks to a 3-hour flight delay, but the warm welcome from the Butler Team – Liam and Darrell – more than made up for it. They whisked us straight to our villa, which overlooked Labrelotte Bay. It was dark when we arrived, so we couldn’t see much… but oh wow, what a sight to wake up to the next morning! Think shimmering Caribbean Sea, views across Castries, and a peaceful beach cove below with sunbeds, parasols, a beach bar, and water sports – all ready and waiting.

Dinner with a View

After a quick tour of the lobby and restaurant areas with Liam, we headed for dinner at Jammers Restaurant, right on the beachfront. Great variety on the menu – something for everyone – and plenty of drinks too, from wines and cocktails to local beers and softs. I went for the Mahi Mahi with Caribbean rice and vegetables. It was hot, tasty, beautifully presented and just hit the spot after a long travel day.

A Morning to Remember

Waking up at Windjammer to the Caribbean sunshine, the sea, and those picture-perfect views is something else entirely. The water sparkles with green and blue hues and the scenery across to Castries is just stunning.
If you fancy a bit of a leg workout, you can walk up the hillside through the villas to the top viewpoint. There’s a gorgeous little garden to catch your breath in, and the views from up there are unbeatable. Not up for the climb? No problem – the resort offers a free shuttle service all day and night to take you anywhere around the property.

Food Glorious Food

We made it our mission to try all the restaurants – and honestly, they were all fabulous.

  • Embers is perfect for lunch right by the beach, with a mix of local and Mediterranean dishes. The jerk chicken wraps and salad? Best I’ve ever had.
  • Papa Don’s serves up the most delicious Arrabiata pasta – just the right kick of spice – melt-in-your-mouth garlic bread, and a dreamy tiramisu.
  • The Perch is all about seafood, with dishes like Mahi Mahi, salmon, king prawns and lobster. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavour.
  • Dragonfly offers buffet-style breakfast and lunch with beach views – a great way to start the day.
  • Masala is an Indian restaurant, and the butter chicken converted me! I don’t usually go for it, but the creamy sauce, soft naan, and warming spices were divine.
  • And then there’s Upper Deck – fine dining at its best. Perfectly cooked steaks, gorgeous starters and desserts, lovely wine pairings and outstanding service. We went twice. The brisket beef just melted in the mouth.

The Service

One thing that truly stands out is the service. From the butlers to the housekeeping team, drivers, gardeners, and restaurant staff – everyone is friendly, chatty, and clearly proud of what they do. And it shows in every detail.

Our Villa

We were lucky enough to stay in a stunning villa overlooking the beach and sea, all the way across to Castries. Waking up each morning to that view and watching the sunrise over the mountains was just magical.
Windjammer has accommodation for everyone – from one and two-bedroom suites to spacious villas and residences for couples, families, or groups.

Perfect for Families

This resort really does cater to all ages:

  • Jacquot Fun Club for kids aged 4–12
  • Teen activities throughout the day
  • Nannies available for the little ones (0–3s), so parents can enjoy some downtime
  • A fantastic award-winning spa for adults
  • A gym, tennis courts, and free water sports to keep active

Island Adventures

If you fancy exploring, there’s loads to see and do. The concierge or excursions team can help arrange trips like: Pigeon Island, Rodney Bay, The famous Pitons and a Friday night street party. Our favourite? A speedboat day trip with just 8 people onboard.

Here’s what we did:

  • Waterfall stop – standing under the rushing water was amazing!
  • Mud bath at Sulphur Springs – left our skin super soft
  • Drive-through volcano
  • Local lunch – delicious homecooked food on a plantation
  • Swimming between the Pitons at Sugar Beach
  • Relaxed at Viceroy Sugar Beach – absolutely stunning
  • Toured the estuary by boat, cruising under the ‘love arch’

And all the while, our brilliant guides Captain and Johnny kept the rum punch flowing, gave us the lowdown on the sights, and even had us singing on the open sea!
