Day 1: An Early Start and a Very Lively Airport
The trip started very early, with us arriving at Glasgow Airport at 6:00 in the morning. I wasn’t quite prepared for what was waiting for us. There was a full stage set up, a silent disco, music playing, and people already up dancing. It was such a lively atmosphere straight away and felt like everything was already in full swing.
We were given breakfast muffins, with a proper menu to choose from, and there were mimosas and prosecco flowing. They were even going around offering shots, although I decided to draw the line at that first thing in the morning.
I was travelling on my own as the rest of the team were flying from Manchester, but that didn’t last long. The Jet2 team were so welcoming and helped me find somewhere to sit, and the group I ended up with were lovely. I actually stayed with them for the whole trip. I had met one of the girls before, which made it even easier, and it just felt comfortable straight away.
Day 1 – Arrival, First Impressions and a Stunning Setting
When we arrived, there were welcome drinks waiting, and we had some time to head down to the beach and explore. The hotels were absolutely stunning, genuinely beautiful, and it was nice to just take everything in after the early start.
Straight from the beach, we headed to the bingo with the drag show, which was brilliant. It was such a good atmosphere, really lively, and everyone got involved.
The entertainment team were fantastic. They had been on both the Manchester and Glasgow flights, already getting everyone involved from the start, and they brought that same energy into the bingo. They had people up dancing, copying them, and just enjoying themselves. There were prizes as well, which added to it.
Because our group had gone down early, we ended up sitting with them and chatting, which made it even more fun. It didn’t feel staged or forced at all, just genuinely good entertainment with really nice people.
After that, we got ready for the themed “horror night”, where lots of people got involved by dressing up and making the most of the atmosphere.
There were professional face painters available, and it was great to see so many creative looks around the resort. Even those who didn’t manage to get their face painted still joined in with the theme, which made the whole evening feel really fun and immersive.
It was one of those nights where everyone just got involved, and it added to the overall experience.
Later in the evening, there was a charity auction in aid of Macmillan, which raised an amazing amount. Some of the holidays going were incredible value too. One of the Jet2 team managed to win a family of four all inclusive holiday with flights for around £1,500 to £1,600, which was brilliant.
We also caught the sunset, which was beautiful and a really nice moment to pause during such a busy day.
One of the nicest parts of the day was meeting people face to face. You often recognise names from emails, but it was really good to actually put faces to them. For me especially, flying from Scotland, it was great to meet other agents from up here as most of my usual contacts are based in England.
Everyone was so friendly, and you could tell how much they genuinely enjoyed their jobs. A lot of them had been with Jet2 for years, some for 15 to nearly 20 years, which really says a lot.
Day 2: Conference, Learning and Being Well Looked After
The conference side of things was full on, but really well organised. It was broken up nicely, so you had time to sit in the sun, enjoy the hotel, and take everything in without it feeling overwhelming.
We had breakfast, lunch, and everything in between taken care of, so you were always well looked after.
There was also an awards ceremony recognising people’s hard work, which was nice to see. Alongside that, we met lots of suppliers and hotel partners. That was really valuable, especially when you suddenly realise you already sell their hotels but didn’t know they were part of that group.
Because I do sell a lot of Jet2 holidays, it was great to connect the dots between the destinations, the hotels, and the people behind them.
Day 2 Evening: DJ Sets and a Proper Celebration
Everything was really well thought out and themed. During the day, the Jet2 team had DJ lessons, and then in the evening they put that into practice with a DJ competition.
Each person had a 15-minute set, all completely different styles of music, from rock to dance. Everyone was cheering, dancing, and you could vote for your favourite using a QR code. It was such a good idea and made for a really fun night.
What stood out was that although there was a strong focus on networking and learning, they really encouraged you to enjoy yourself as well. It was very much about making the most of the experience, the food, the hotel, and the people around you.
The Journey Home
Even on the way home, the experience didn’t stop. When we got off the Glasgow flight, the Jet2 team were there thanking everyone, giving hugs, and just making sure you felt appreciated for being there.
It was those small, personal touches that really made the difference.
Final Thoughts
It was genuinely one of the best trips I’ve been on. Not just because of the location or the events, but because of the people and how they made you feel throughout.
There was always something happening, always something to look forward to, and even though it was busy, it never felt overwhelming.
As much fun as it was, it was also incredibly valuable. It’s given me a real depth of knowledge and confidence when it comes to Jet2 holidays. Whether it’s a family getaway to Spain, a luxury escape, or a city break, I feel like I can properly guide people now based on first-hand experience.
And I’d absolutely go back and do it all again.
