Booking Conditions

THE HOLIDAY VILLAGE TERMS OF BUSINESS

Except where otherwise stated, we Co-op Travel Services Limited act only as an agent or sub-agent in respect of all bookings we take and/or make on your behalf.

These are the terms on which we arrange your travel or holiday requirements. When you make a booking, we arrange for you to enter into a contract with the supplier or suppliers (for example tour operators, airlines, cruise lines, or accommodation providers) named on your confirmation documentation.

We may book a package holiday with a single supplier or arrange individual travel services with multiple suppliers. In the latter case, you will have separate contracts with each supplier. As agent, we accept no responsibility for the acts or omissions of suppliers or for the services they provide.

The relevant supplier’s booking terms and conditions will apply to your booking and should be read carefully, as they contain important information about your arrangements.

Our agency terms are governed by English Law and the jurisdiction of the English Courts. You may choose the law and jurisdiction of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there and wish to do so.

1. Booking and Payment

When you make a booking, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these booking conditions on behalf of all members of your party.

To confirm your booking, you must pay the deposit required by the supplier, or full payment if requested at the time of booking. Any applicable insurance premiums and booking fees must also be paid.

Your booking is confirmed when we issue written confirmation on the supplier’s behalf. Please check all details carefully and notify us immediately of any errors.

Passenger names must be provided exactly as shown on passports. As booking agent, we are not responsible for errors in documentation unless caused by us.

Information you provide will be shared with relevant suppliers and authorities where required, including special category data such as medical, dietary, or religious requirements. By making a booking, you consent to this information being shared.

If full payment is not received by the balance due date, the supplier may cancel your booking and apply cancellation charges in line with their terms.

2. Price Accuracy

Prices may change at any time and errors can occur. You must check the final price of your arrangements at the time of booking.

3. Insurance

Many suppliers require travel insurance as a condition of booking. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation, medical expenses, repatriation, baggage, and other risks.

4. Changes and Cancellations

Any amendments or cancellations must be requested in writing by the lead passenger. Supplier charges may apply and can be up to 100 percent of the booking cost. We may also charge an administration fee.

5. Our Responsibility

Your contract is with the supplier. Our responsibility is limited to making bookings in accordance with your instructions.

Any liability we may have is limited to twice the cost of your booking, except where death or personal injury results from our negligence.

6. Financial Protection

Package holidays are protected by the package organiser. ATOL-protected flights or flight-inclusive holidays will include an ATOL Certificate.

Linked Travel Arrangements may apply where additional services are booked. Insolvency protection is in place for payments made directly to us, in accordance with the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.

7. Complaints

Any issues should be raised with the supplier during travel. If unresolved, please contact us on your return.

If the complaint involves us or another ABTA member and cannot be resolved, you may use ABTA’s ADR scheme. Further information is available at www.abta.com.
